The Rhinelander High School volleyball team could not break their losing streak on Tuesday when they travelled to Antigo for a Great Northern Conference Match. The Red Robins swept the Hodags in three sets; 25-10, 25-11, and 25-14 at Sheldon Fieldhouse.
Rhinelander was never able to recover from slow starts, but proved to have their most competitive set in the third.
Brylee Ridderbusch led the Hodags attacking with three kills. Senior Brooke Mork recorded a pair of kills and aces as well as four digs. Kahlie Arneson added three blocks and one kill on the night.
Setter Aryssa Zasada finished with four assists and five digs. Hannah Woracheck charted five digs and libero Mikayla Evenstad added four digs.
The Hodags fell to 0-2 in the GNC standings and 1-23 overall this season. Rhinelander will host the first leg of the conference tournament. RHS received a bye the first round and will face Lakeland in round two and Northland Pines in round three at the Jim Mizaga Community Gymnasium.
