Youth Sports: Girls Basketball
Youth Girls Basketball Camp to be held during April

RHINELANDER – The RHS Girls Basketball team is putting on a youth basketball camp for third through seventh grade girls on Saturday’s during the month of April.

The four-week session will begin on April 5 and run through April 26. Third, fourth and fifth graders will be on the court at the RHS Gym from 10:00-11:00 AM, and sixth and seventh graders will be on the court from 11:00-Noon.

“We’re doing this to promote girls basketball, learn some skills and have some fun,” RHS Girls Basketball Coach Heidi Preul said in a flyer promoting the camp. “If you are a future Lady Hodag Basketball Player, this is for you.”

The camp will focus on basketball fundamentals with high school coaches and players serving as the instructors. Drills and games will take place focusing on shooting, ball handling and defense.

The cost of the camp is just $5, which will be donated to the Rhinelander Basketball Association’s Girls Basketball Fund. To sign up, contact coach Heidi Preul at 369-3807 or via email at preulhei@rhinelander.k12.wi.us.
