     RHINELANDER - The Northwoods Babe Ruth All-Stars took second place at the 15-year old State Tournament last week in Eau Claire.

Six Rhinelander players were part of the All-Star team including Alex Henkel, Nathan Schmidt and Dan Kellen from the Laser Pro's team and Micah Baumgartner, Troy White and John Nehls from the M&I/Printpack Team.

     The Northwoods All Stars started 2-0 with wins over Sturgeon Bay and Middleton. A loss to Eau Claire knocked Northwoods into the elimination bracket, where they defeated Stevens Point to reach the championship.

In the championship, Northwoods again lost to Eau Claire to finish second.

A pitcure of Rhinelander's representatives on the Northwoods team is posted below.
