MILWAUKEE – Northwood Golf Club PGA Professional and RHS Head Golf Coach Dan Buckley finished in the money, tying for 31st at the annual Wisconsin PGA Club Professional Championship hosted at Tripoli Country Club.
71 pros competed in the 54-hole tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Buckley finished at 20-over par, 233, with rounds of 78, 77 and 78 on the par 71 layout.
Most of Buckley’s success came on the front nine, which he played in a combined two-over in the three rounds. Four of his five birdies for the tournament came on the outward half, including a stretch of three in a row in Tuesday’s final round.
Rick Witt of Blackhawk Country Club won the tournament with a one-under score of 212. Witt, the only golfer to finish under par for the championship, took home $4,500.
Buckley’s tie for 31st earned him $200 of purse money.
