The Rhinelander High School gymnastics team didn't get much time to prepare after hosting the Snowflake Invitational over the weekend. But that didn't seem to matter, as the Hodags cruised to a 114.775-77.40 victory on the road against Mosinee on Tuesday. It also marked Rhinelander's first Great Northern Conference dual meet of the year.
Leading the night was Stephanie Kuester, who earned the top all-around spot with a score of 31.075. Kuester finished first in both the uneven bars (7.975) and balance beam (7.4) and second on the vault (8.4). She also
added a fourth-place finish in the floor exercise.
Raven Sturtevant finished third in the all-around with a score of 29.55. Sturtevant finished second in the floor exercise (7.525) as well as second on the uneven bars (7.425). She also finished third in the vault (8.2).
Alyssa Mitchell finished fourth place in the all-around with her best finish coming in the floor exercise where Mitchell finished third with a score of 7.475.
The Hodags showed great signs of improvement and with their first GNC-small dual victory, they are hoping to keep the momentum going. They will host Lakeland on Thursday December, 22nd at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
