UNDATED – The RHS Alpine Ski Team learned Monday morning that Hodag senior Grant Olson has moved from alternate to competitor for Team Wisconsin for the US High School National Meet on March 13-14 at Attitash Mountian in New Hampshire.
Olson, who initially made Team Wisconsin based on his resume of success outside the high school season, in the Northern Ski League and at the State Meet at Mt. LaCrosse will ski two Giant Slalom races on Saturday, March 13 and two slalom races on Sunday, March 14.
Olson finished sixth in the Northern Ski League this season and 38th at State despite missing a gate in his Giant Slalom run on the first day of the meet. He made up for it with a 15th in Slalom and a 29th in Super G.
Olson will be the tenth Hodag to compete at Nationals in the last 19 years. Shane Polzin was the last to do so two years ago.
