RHINELANDER - The final four teams will playoff for league championship on March 24, 2010 at Knight Gallery starting at 6:00 pm sharp. Since there are a few new teams this year, I just wanted to give a heads up on what is expected of the teams for that night.
We ask that each team bring a dish to pass and a raffle gift. The raffle gift can be anything, such as a craft that one of your teammates made, a bottle of whatever, a gift certificate, etc. The league decided that the sponsor does not have to provide the raffle gift, so it's up to the team to come up with one. A majority of the teams make up baskets and are extremely creative. You sign up that night to be entered in the raffle and must be present to win. Only team roster players can sign up, including subs. We draw for the raffle during the matches. We have had some teams bring more than one raffle item and that was greatly appreciated by all..
The reason for informing you of this now is so that you have enough time to start your raffle gifts. The league need a few weeks to make things for the basket and come up with a theme.
